“Brilliant weekend break” Me any my girlfriend took an extended weekend off to Bournemouth to learn to wind-surf. Unfortunately the wind was blowing the wrong way that weekend, so we decided to just learn to surf instead. Surf Steps were able to accommodate us at short notice, and we had an excellent time! We spent a couple of hours in a small group session learning the basics on Saturday. Our tutor was full of energy, enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and managed to get us stood up on our boards within a couple of hours.

Me and my mate went for a surfing weekend and had a lesson at surf steps. we found everyone very helpful and friendly the instructors were brilliant, they were a good laugh and helped out when you needed it. We also hired equipment from them which was very reasonable price. I will go back and use them again. it is a very fun way to spend a day. I recommend surfing to anyone and to use this company. As you may know young people on the Autistic Spectrum find it very difficult to try new, unpredictable activities however the group where most were initially reluctant to even get into a wet suit were soon unable to remove from the sea. One of the young men who was most anxious about it said "it was the best experience of my life" I am sure this was due to your laid back, no pressure approach which made it fun and enabled all the students to take part to the best of their abilities. Many thanks for helping to make this such a successful experience for our young people and we will definitely use you again next year!!!

Dear Kat and Tom and the team at Surfsteps. Just wanted to say a Big Thank you to you all for making Eilidh's 15th Birthday celebration so special with a great surf session yesterday. She was so excited at being able to Surf on her birthday as she had an inset day from school. She really loves the surf and wants to do a lot more practice sessions surfing. Thanks for your excellent instruction.

I wanted to drop a quick email to thank you for making my first ever surf lesson on Saturday such fun. The instruction was clear and helpful and I even stood up (after falling off many times...)!

Surf Steps is a fabulous institution where you can always rely on friendly professional service. Cool, non intimidating and amazing surf instructors that make all conditions fun and safe and are inspiring. This is not a 'pose' surf school where the instructors strive to make themselves look as good as possible, this is a school where the ethos is on the students. It is a fine line between safety and excitement and the way that all of your instructors manage this so well shows how well you mange them and what a great ethos you promote. Will continue to use you above all others for the science of surfing as you are the best and I have total faith in you!

I came for a sup lesson yesterday and I brought a young person in care. Just wanted to pass on to you guys that he couldn't stop talking about it and really enjoy himself and wants to do more so I will be in touch soon to arrange more supping with you guys.

Just wanted to say thank you for an awesome lesson yesterday. You all were great teachers and my friend and I had such a fun time learning the basics. We liked it so much that we're definitely going to look into surfing opportunities on the Great Lakes for when we get back to Michigan. Thanks again!

The staff are really really friendly, and considering I was there for a few days in a row and it was my first time surfing they were really helpful in getting me to progress and were genuinely happy when I achieved things. I got more hooked than I ever thought I would and I think this school is part of the reason why, I can't stop coming back! I came on my own and thought I might feel bored or alone but I was made to feel really welcome and had the best few days.. I recommend it to anyone and everyone!
